On August 28th, the "Vico Cup OFweek 2024 Laser Industry Annual Selection" hosted by high-tech industry portal OFweek and organized by Vico Laser held a grand award ceremony in Shenzhen. Xi'an Lumcore Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lumcore Optoelectronics") has won the Vico Cup OFweek 2024 Laser Component, Accessory and Assembly Technology Innovation Award.



Background of selection

The purpose of this selection is to focus on four dimensions: technology, applications, enterprises, and individuals. It aims to encourage and promote industry leaders and role models in the laser field, promote the spirit of innovation in the new era, and contribute the "power of Vico" to promote the development of high-tech industries and the wave of domestic substitution in manufacturing.

The new generation of 1310nm high-power semiconductor laser chips has the characteristics of high conversion efficiency, high reliability, stable mode, and customization. Systematic and in-depth research has been conducted on six major modules including chip design, epitaxial material growth, front-end preparation process, back-end preparation process, packaging testing analysis, reliability and failure analysis. Many key technologies and processes in the chip development process have been broken through, and a series of high-power, high-efficiency, and high reliability 1310nm semiconductor laser chip products have been successfully developed, achieving complete autonomy and controllability from epitaxial materials to chips.


Product Innovation

● A ridge waveguide 1310 nm FP chip with an extended waveguide structure was successfully developed using an active region quaternary multi quantum well material system. The threshold current of the chip is in the order of 500mA, and the slope efficiency reaches the order of 0.5W/A.

● With high output power and high conversion efficiency, the waste heat of the product is further reduced, thereby improving the reliability during operation. Under different working currents, the output wavelength of the product is stable.

● Strong adaptability to high temperatures, the optical cavity design can cope with various usage environments, especially stable power output in high temperature environments.

● High reliability, the product has undergone 10A 30 ℃ 2000h accelerated aging life verification, meeting the usage needs of customers in the market.
