May 15, 2023 International Laser Industry Conference was held in China Optics Valley Science and Technology Exhibition Center. At the meeting, China's laser industry "Halo Awards" was awarded, Xi'an Lumcore Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lumcore") 808nm 600W semiconductor laser chip won 2023 "Halo Awards" excellent laser device product Award.

Through the research on the key technology of 808nm quasi-continuous 600W semiconductor laser chip, the core technology of 808nm quasi-continuous laser chip has been obtained, and significant progress has been made in the structure optimization technology, material epitaxial growth technology, cavity surface passivation technology and packaging technology, which solves the key problems of 808nm quasi-continuous laser chip in the production.

The epitaxial structure is upgraded, while the basic parameters such as slope efficiency and conversion efficiency of the chip remain unchanged, the high temperature characteristics are greatly improved. The reliability of the chip is improved by upgrading the key equipment that affects the life of the device, reducing the residual gas that affects the reliability of the chip. Through the optimization of the surface coating process, the surface damage threshold COMD of the chip has been improved, and the optical power density of the device in stable operation has been increased from 10MW/cm2 to 14.23MW/cm2.
